Shrinkwrap Services

Our film is a heavy duty shrink polyethylene available in BLUE, WHITE, or CLEAR (6 MIL and 7 mil. thicknesses) from 12 feet wide to 40 feet wide. We primarily service the marine industry, however, many more applications have been used from tractors, motorcycles, motorhomes, construction enclosures... All colored films have UVI protection (ultraviolet inhibitor) to prevent the polyethylene from breaking down from exposure to ultraviolet rays. It also has EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate) added to the film to keep the polyethylene soft and flexible in sub-freezing temperatures. Shrink Wrap is applied by draping the sheet over the surface and applying heat with a propane powered heat gun. Special care will be used to cover any and all fuel vents with non-residue gel-coat safe tapes. Every shrinkwrap cover must be ventilated to eliminate moisture and condensation under the cover. Our self-adhesive vents allow cross flow ventilation throughout the cover minimizing chances of excess moisture and mildew. The number of vents will vary according to what you are covering. Many accessories are available to help you maintain/service your product while wrapped. This film is a one use application.

We have only a few limitations on applying shrink wrap- it cannot be actively raining, winds over 10 mph that would make handling large sheets of wrap dangerous or free of standing water on the products surface to be wrapped. Our customer’s decisions on shrink wrapping product with standing water, unclean surfaces, bird soiling, ect. is the decision of the product owner and any damage associated with improper preparation will be the product owners responsibility. Products to be wrapped should be clean and in top condition prior to wrapping. When we are called to wrap a product we operate under the assumption the customer is aware of product condition and is willing to have us perform application at that time.

We do attempt to pull removable products out of equipment (removable carpets, boat seats, ropes, covers, clothing...) in order to increase performance and longevity of wrap, however, we are not a detail service or reclamation company. We do not supply or service wrapped products with dehumidification products or recharge dehumidifation products. With average humidity levels in the Pacific Northwest hovering around 80%, drying products, dehumidification products and frequent inspections are highly recommended/required.

All applications, when ability to gain access, will be uncharged with door access and will allow owner to frequently inspect, dry, service and keep overall condition to their specifications.
